PROTOCOL for GELS KIT ref 1218

  1. Hand washing:
    • Wash your hands thoroughly with soap to remove any oil or dirt residue, then disinfect them.
  2. Nail preparation:
    • Remove any existing varnish using nail polish remover.
    • Cut and file your nails to the desired shape.
    • Gently push back the cuticles using a wooden stick.
Tips: The small dead skin on the surface of the nail must be removed, the gel cannot adhere properly to an oily surface like the skin.
  1. Image:
    • Gently file the surface of your nails using a file without pressing too hard to mattify the nail and create a more adherent surface without damaging the nail.
  2. Dusting:
    • Use a dusting brush and a cotton pad soaked in cleaner to remove nail dust and degrease the nail.
  3. Application of Nail prep and Primer without acid:
    • Apply a thin layer of Nail prep without touching the cuticles and let air dry.
    • Apply a thin layer of Acid Free Primer without touching the cuticles and allow to air dry.
  4. Application of Soft Gel Coffin XL capsules:
    • Choose each of your capsules adapted to each of your nails.
If you can't find the perfect size, opt for a larger capsule that you can file to the size of your nail.
    • Apply a small amount of false nail glue into the notch of the capsule then apply it to the edge of your nail by pressing for 7 seconds, check that there are no bubbles between the capsule and the natural nail and that the capsule is straight in relation to your finger.

  5. Application of Monophase Cover Gel:
    • Take a large ball of gel using your rounded brush, then place it 3mm from your cuticles (without touching them).
With your brush floating on the surface of the gel (without pressing hard), gently push the gel towards the cuticles then start to make small circles so that your gel spreads delicately over the entire surface of the nail and the capsule. If necessary, add more gel. Keep in mind that your gel will be thicker on your natural nail and thinner on the free edge of the capsule.
    • Catalyze for 3 minutes under the UV/LED lamp.
If you are happy with the application of your gel, you can then degrease it using a cotton pad soaked in cleaner.
    • Then file the surface of your gel harmoniously to shape it. Try to keep parallel on the sides and a rounded shape on the top.
Dust with the brush then degrease your gel using a cotton pad soaked in cleaner.
  6. Application of French Manicure or Colored Gel:
For the French Manicure
  • You will use the Liner brush and the White Semi-Permanent Varnish to achieve this.
  • Apply white polish to the liner brush then trace the edges of your French Manicure and fill in the rest with the polish brush.
  • When your French Manicure suits you, cure for 60 seconds under the UV/LED lamp.

For Colored Gel
  • Apply 2 coats of colored gel using your rounded brush then catalyze each coat for 30 to 60 seconds under the UV/LED lamp.
    Do not degrease between coats.
  1. Application of the Mirror Top Coat:
    • Apply a not too thick layer of Mirror Top Coat then catalyze for 60 seconds under the UV/LED lamp.
This Top Coat is residue-free, it has no sticky layer, there is no need to degrease.

  2. Nail Art (Optional):
    • Chrome Powder: Apply powder to your Mirror Top Coat, then rub with your finger.
    • Apply a thin layer of Mirror Top Coat on top then catalyze for 60 seconds to set the powder on your pose.
  3. Hydration:
    • Finish by applying a cuticle oil to nourish your nails and cuticles.

Additional tips:
  • Do not open your varnishes and gels in sunlight or in front of a switched on UV/LED lamp, this may cause them to harden in their bottle and pot.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals on your nails to prolong the wear of your polish.
